Structured Cabling

Standards-compliant copper and fibre cabling for offices, towers, and data centres across the UAE — certified to TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801.

Structured cabling is the physical foundation of every modern IT system — the certified copper and fibre infrastructure that carries data, voice, video and security signals across your building. A well-designed cabling rail is the difference between a network that scales effortlessly for 20+ years and one that needs an expensive rebuild every five.

Araneae Networks designs and installs structured cabling systems that comply with the international TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards, with installations led by engineers trained to BICSI guidelines. Whether you need 50 outlets in a small office or 5,000 across a high-rise tower, we deliver a clean, documented, future-proof rail.

Our scope covers Cat6 and Cat6A copper for data and voice, single-mode and multi-mode fibre for backbone and high-bandwidth links, complete server racks and patch panels, cable trays and conduit pathways, and proper fire-stopping where regulations require it. Every link is tested with Fluke DSX-8000 channel testers and certified — you receive full PDF certification reports as part of the handover package.

In a Dubai context, we coordinate closely with MEP contractors, main contractors and consultants. We work alongside DEWA-approved electrical contractors, align with Dubai Civil Defence fire-stopping requirements, and deliver as-built drawings that meet developer handover specifications. Installations are warranted for up to 25 years through our partnership with Tier-1 component vendors.

Where we differ is in documentation and discipline. Every cable is labelled to a defined scheme, every termination is photographed for the asset register, and every link is tested twice — once on completion and once at handover. That level of rigour is what makes long-term operations and AMC support straightforward years after we leave site.

Common questions

Frequently asked

For most new high-rise residential and commercial buildings in Dubai we recommend Cat6A. The slightly higher cable cost is offset by full 10GbE support over the standard 100m channel, better PoE++ thermal margin for camera and AP runs, and far better shielding in dense vertical risers where interference is real. Cat6 remains adequate for retrofits with shorter runs.
A full TIA-compliant channel test on every installed link covering wiremap, length, insertion loss, NEXT, return loss, propagation delay and skew. You receive a PDF report per cable, port-mapped and timestamped — your evidence for warranty registration and a baseline reference for future AMC troubleshooting.
For new buildings up to ~30 floors we typically specify OM4 multi-mode for cost-effectiveness. For taller towers or campus links over 300m, single-mode (OS2) is the right choice — it future-proofs the riser for 40G/100G upgrades without re-pulling fibre.
Component-and-installation warranties of up to 25 years are available where we install a complete vendor-approved system (jacks, panels, cable and accessories all from one Tier-1 manufacturer). You also get our installation warranty independent of the vendor coverage.
